Accept any token. Settle in one stablecoin.

A multi-coin payment gateway that takes whatever token your customer holds, on any of ten chains, and pays you the stablecoin you chose. The funds never touch MutoPay.

Which tokens can a customer pay with?

A customer can pay with any token that has liquidity on one of ten chains: Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Avalanche, BNB Chain, TON, Solana, and Tron. That covers the major asset on each chain and the long tail of ERC-20, SPL, TRC-20, and jetton tokens traded against them. There is no per-token allowlist to apply for and no integration work per asset. At checkout the customer picks the chain they already hold funds on, then the token, and MutoPay quotes the exact amount to send. If a token has no route to the merchant's settlement stablecoin, it does not appear as an option, so a customer is never shown a payment they cannot complete. Customers without a browser wallet are not excluded either: they can send manually from an exchange or any other wallet to a deposit address generated for that single payment.

What does the merchant actually receive?

The merchant receives the stablecoin they chose, in a wallet they control. Settlement is USDC, USDT, DAI, or native TON on whichever of the ten chains the merchant nominates in their dashboard, and it arrives directly from the decentralized exchange route to that wallet address. MutoPay never takes custody at any point: there is no balance held on the merchant's behalf, no withdrawal step, no withdrawal fee, and no approval process before funds move. Because the transfer is on-chain, the merchant can verify every settlement on a block explorer rather than trusting a settlement report. That is the practical difference between a non-custodial gateway and a custodial one. With a custodial processor the merchant's money sits with the processor first and is released later on the processor's terms. Here it never arrives there at all.

What does a multi-token gateway cost?

MutoPay charges 0.5% per completed transaction, and the conversion from the customer's token to the merchant's stablecoin is included at that rate. There is no monthly fee, no setup fee, no minimum volume, and no withdrawal fee. Network gas is paid by the customer as part of their own transaction, not billed to the merchant. The distinction that matters when comparing multi-token gateways is what happens when a conversion is involved, because with a multi-coin checkout a conversion is the normal case rather than the exception. NOWPayments quotes 0.5% for a same-coin payment and 1% once a swap happens. Coinbase Commerce charges 1%. BitPay charges 1 to 2% plus $0.25 and settles from custody. BTCPay Server charges nothing but is self-hosted and Bitcoin-first. Decentralized exchange rates are passed through at cost, so the 0.5% is the entire markup a merchant pays.

Altcoin payment providers compared

The two columns that decide the real cost of an altcoin payment provider are conversion and custody. A gateway that only accepts a coin without converting it leaves the merchant holding an asset they did not want, and a gateway that converts but holds the funds first decides when the merchant gets paid.

Provider Fee Conversion Custody
MutoPay 0.5% flat Included, DEX routed Self-custody
NOWPayments 0.5%, 1% with a swap Charged extra Custodial
Coinbase Commerce 1% Included Custodial
BitPay 1 to 2% + $0.25 Settles to fiat Custodial
